GROWING INSTRUCTIONS: Easiest to direct-sow: mix seed with soil, sand, or compost and broadcast evenly. Needs cool weather or shade. Can be clipped for salad as soon as it is 6" high. Clip often to prevent flowering and keep greens usable. For attracting beneficial insects under shrubs or in hedgerows, allow to flower and set seed-will self-sow profusely. Tolerates shade-goes to seed and dies quickly in hot weather; succession-sow. Don't put mature plants in compost or they'll seed all over.
