| Squash, Zucchini, Costata Romanesca |
| 52 days. Distinctive Italian zucchini, with fabulous rich flavor and firm texture. Medium gray-green, with pale green flecks and ribs. This is the variety recommended by Carol Deppe in her new book The Resilient Gardener. She has found it ideal for drying, and has developed a system that gives a big yield of winter food for not too much effort. Costata works well because it holds its outstanding flavor and texture into the larger sizes instead of getting watery, tasteless, or tough like other types. Drought-resistant. 20 seeds. C $2.00 |
