Large medium-green tender tasty leaves. The oval leaves are overlaid with burgundy red for a coleus-like appearance. Delicious cooked; in our experience it tastes like spinach. (high in minerals but also high in oxalic acid content) Not good raw. Whole plant must be harvested - picking leaf by leaf it gets bitter. Best to sow in succession. Heat tolerant. Multi-stalked, 18-20" tall.
