PACKET INSTRUCTIONS: Start in flats or pots 2 months before your average last spring frost. Transplant seedlings into well-composted soil after danger of frost is past. Set plants several inches deeper than in the pot - they will root along the stem. Greedy feeder-needs ample amounts of compost or decomposed manure. Needs lots of C, P & K but not as much N to prevent blossom-end rot. Keep soil moist in dry weather with periodic, deep waterings and mulch.

DESCRIPTION: Mid-season. Pre-1890 Tennessee Heirloom - has delicious 8-12 oz. deep burgundy fruits with green shoulders. On most "top ten" lists for flavor. Reliable in difficult conditions, especially heat, humidity, and drought. Recommended for the Southern US or other humid climates - but very versatile. Vines indeterminate but small. "Navel" at bottom like an orange.
