DESCRIPTION :From Frank Morton in Oregon, this variety has been selected to withstand rain on the mature seedheads and to do better with humidity and warm nights than others. A breakthrough for gardeners in climates with summer/fall rain. Big beautiful, coral-red plumes on sturdy 5.5-6 foot plants. Very large yields of pale grain with a rosy glow.

GROWING INSTRUCTIONS: Sow in flats on 1" centers shortly before last frost. May not germinate well in hot weather. Transplant when second set of leaves appear to 12" centers in garden. Be careful not to overly disturb roots when transplanting. Needs well-drained, fertile soil and prefers cool weather. Water sparingly. The bitter soapy seed coating must be washed off before eating-run seeds through blender, changing water until it no longer foams. Seed our handout for more info.
