DESCRIPTION :Highly productive and early. Very leafy with many grain-bearing tillers to 6'. Tolerates waterlogged soils very well. Excellent for compost-will re-grow after cutting, and dries fast. Difficult to hull for human consumption, but an excellent fast, weed-smothering crop for livestock and poultry.

GROWING INSTRUCTIONS: Plant after last frost 7": apart in well-worked soil with good nutrients. Soil must be warm for seed to sprout. Keep watered-not as much as corn but a steady small amount. It goes dormant in drought & continues growth with water, the best growth is continuous. Cut seedheads few days before ripening & sun dry to harvest before the birds get the seed.
