GROWING INSTRUCTIONS: The whole dried fruit protects the seed. When you are ready to plant, soak the fruit overnight, then squeeze out the plentiful tiny seeds. Start in flats or pots at about 70 to 75 degrees, sowing very shallow. Firm the surface, scatter the seed, then sift a slight dusting of soil over just to hold them in place and moist-must have light to germinate. Keep in flats in strong light but do not allow them to dry out. Transplant to a gallon pot for a year, then plant in a permanent bed.
