Annual. Major seasoning herb in Mexican, Chinese cuisine. The leavesí unique flavor adds fresh taste and zest to salsa, salads, beans, egg rolls and other dishes. Seeds are used as flavoring in cakes, catsup, sausage, stews, curry. A great attraction to pollinating insects. Plant in warm garden soil. Drought-resistant; can't handle wet conditions.
One packet will plant 16 sq ft when using 5" spacing in the bed.

WHEN TO PLANT: early spring
PACKET LABEL INSTRUCTIONS: Sow seed directly into the garden 5" apart after all danger of frost is past. Does not transplant well. Quick germinating but may need to be thinned. Plant in full sun or partial shade. Coriander prefers dry conditions. Likes good soil but doesn't compete well - cultivate often. Hates having to cope with lots of water.
